MEDS is our electronic application system that interfaces with the New York City Medicaid Eligibility
Data and Image Transfer System (EDITS). EDITS is an open system that replaces the current
paper-based process between providers and the Medical Assistance Program (MAP). It also replaces the
current proprietary interface system for pre-natal care (PCAP) applications and will replace all electronic
submission back-end systems currently used by nursing homes. EDITS features fast, online electronic
transfer of data and images and quick eligibility determinations.
